Flash floods sweep away house causing death of three people in Hargeisa


Three people are reported to have died in last night raining at Hargeisa town, the capital of Somaliland after flash floods carried away their house.

A mother and her two children are reported to have died in last night’s heavy rains at Hargeisa.

Rescuers arrived but failed to save the drowning mother and her two children.

This family lived in a house made of iron sheet situated in a low-lying area where waters from valleys in the higher land flows through it.

Somaliland president and the interior minister are among those visited at the scene.
